4. Affiliate Programs & Third-Party Links

Vurbo participates in affiliate advertising programs. When you click a retailer link, your click may be tracked by that retailer's affiliate system. This tracking is subject to the retailer's own privacy policy, not ours.

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Service providers: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Stripe / Razorpay (payments), Firebase (push notifications) — all under data processing agreements
  • Affiliate networks: Only the data necessary to validate cashback (e.g., order confirmation)
  • Legal authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Vurbo and its users
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred (we will notify you)

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records).

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate data

Vurbo is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. International Transfers

Vurbo serves users in the USA and India. Data may be stored and processed in the United States (our primary hosting region). For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for any data transferred outside the EEA.

11. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, row-level security on our database, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Vurbo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
